Ubisoft founder Claude Guillemot dies in plane crash in France

"Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. No further statements will be made at this time," read part of a statement.

Guillemot's brother, Yves Guillemot, is the CEO of Ubisoft.

The plane crash took place in La Baule-Escoublac, a resort town on France's Atlantic coast, where an air show was due to be held this weekend, Ouest-France newspaper reported.

Claude Guillemot was one of two people on board the aircraft. Both died in the accident.

Guillemot was 69.
