San Francisco-based Uber is offering Dutch Prosus and other major shareholders 41.50 euros per share. This would value the entire Delivery Hero at $14.8 billion (approximately SEK 142 billion).
The American investment company SSW Partners will, according to the plan, buy Delivery Hero operations in 14 countries for $1.6 billion, including in Norway and Sweden.
The deal strengthens Uber's position in the fight for market share outside the US, where it primarily competes with Wolt owner Doordash.
The deal requires, among other things, approval from competition authorities to be completed.
