The oil company Adnoc told the news agency that the ship was attacked on Friday evening. It is unclear what damage the ship may have sustained, but no one was reported to have been injured in the attack.
Earlier this week, the United Arab Emirates accused Iran of carrying out two similar attacks on Adnoc-linked ships in the strait.
Saudi Arabia is also now condemning the attacks and expressing "its full solidarity" with the United Arab Emirates.
“The Kingdom holds Iran fully responsible for the consequences of continuing these attacks and calls on the country to immediately cease these violations,” the Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement, according to Al Jazeera.
