Typhoon Dolphin forces mass evacuations and flight cancellations in east China

Typhoon-force winds are reaching up to 42 metres per second.

Heavy rain has increased the risk of flooding and landslides. In Taizhou, about 390,000 people were evacuated, while more than 30,000 were evacuated in Shanghai. Zhejiang also suspended all ferry and cruise services.

Meteorologists are warning of up to 400 millimetres of rain in the coming days.
