Over 250,000 people are to be evacuated in Vietnam, where the typhoon Bualoi is expected to pass through during the day. The bad weather is expected to reach land with winds of around 37 meters per second.

Central Vietnam's largest city Da Nang plans to move over 210,000 inhabitants to safer areas, and more than 32,000 will be evacuated in Huê. Also in Ha Tinh, an important steel city, 15,000 people will be moved to schools and healthcare facilities used as temporary shelters, according to the authorities.

Nearly 117,000 military personnel have been mobilized, four domestic airports have been closed and all fishing boats in the typhoon's path have been called back to port.

The storm is the tenth to hit Vietnam this year.
