Ricky Hatton, Two-Time World Champion Boxer, Dies at 46

The former boxer Ricky Hatton is dead, writes the British Press Association. He became 46 years.

For Manchester Evening News, the police confirm that a person has been found dead in the boxing icon's home, and that they do not suspect any crime.

During his career, Hatton became world champion in both light welterweight and welterweight, before ending his professional career in 2011. In 2024, the Englishman was inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame.

Earlier this year, the boxing icon announced that he planned to make a comeback in the boxing ring, with a match against Eisa Al Dah planned to be held in Dubai in December.

The boxing profile has been open about his struggle with mental illness and drug problems throughout his life.
