The women were convicted in Stockholm District Court of, among other things, aggravated assault, two counts of assault, and violence against a public servant. One was sentenced to two years in prison and the other to one year and ten months.
Last September, the women were unruly on a bus in Handen, south of Stockholm. When the driver tried to turn them away, he was pulled down and beaten. The same evening, they beat a woman in her 50s on another bus.
On a Saturday night in February at Stockholm Central Station, they attacked a 78-year-old homeless man with punches and kicks. The violence was particularly ruthless because he was kicked in the head while he was lying down, the district court found.
