One of the men has previously been convicted of murder in Sweden and the other of attempted murder, among other offenses. Both were deemed to pose a serious threat to fundamental societal interests, according to Norwegian police.
The two men were stopped by police in April, less than 24 hours after entering Norway. They have been detained since then and are now due to be deported.
This is another example of deportation as a very effective measure to prevent and deter crimes committed by foreign criminals in Norway, says Rune Solberg Swahn of the Oslo Police to NRK.
