One of them is said to be a known criminal who is wanted for violent crimes, while the other is described as his accomplice.
The Phuket News reports that the notorious criminal is suspected of attempted murder and extortion, among other charges. He was arrested in a luxury apartment in Bangkok on Sunday, but is said to have previously been hiding elsewhere in the country. His visa in the country is said to have expired in mid-August.
The accomplice is also wanted for racketeering and drug-related crimes, among other things. According to The Phuket News, he helped arrange a hiding place, food and other necessities. His visa had also expired.
According to Ekot, both will be extradited to Sweden after trial. Several mobile phones and credit cards that were seized will also be handed over.
