"I lifted the arrest at eleven o'clock on Thursday. The suspicions remain, but have weakened to such an extent that there is no longer any basis for arrest," Deputy Chief Prosecutor Henrik Olin told SVT.
The suspected crimes were committed between June 26 and July 1 of this year in Solna, and the two people were arrested on July 3. Both deny the crime.
Olin does not want to elaborate on how the level of suspicion has changed, but says that the two have not been removed from the investigation.
The preliminary investigation has not been closed, he says.
