The attack on the man, who is in his 80s, at his home in Jönköping Municipality on November 1 was relatively protracted, the district court found. Among other things, the daughters allegedly tried to block his airways.
"The plaintiff has clearly and in detail described the violence he was subjected to, and his account is strongly supported by the legal certificate. Immediately after the incident, he identified his daughters as the perpetrators and has consistently stuck to his statements," says Councilor Mikael Malm in a press release.
The motive for the incident is believed to have been an inheritance dispute, several local media reported in connection with the indictment. The father's will is included in the evidence, according to the indictment.
