Since last week, several ships have left Mexican ports with the aim of transporting food and other supplies to Cuba, which is facing a humanitarian crisis and is under an oil blockade by the United States.
Two of the ships, which were supposed to have arrived in Cuba earlier this week, have now disappeared. According to the Mexican Navy, the crews of the ships have not communicated, and there is no confirmation from Cuba that they have arrived.
A total of nine people of various nationalities were on board the ships when they left Mexico.
