After over 40 winless draws, there is now a jackpot in the USA's Powerball. The giant win of up to 17 billion kronor is shared by two lottery buyers, in Missouri and Texas.

Powerball is a variant of lotto, where the winnings amount grows week by week if no one has bought a ticket with the correct number combination. And so it has been during the summer, when drawing after drawing has been made.

But on Saturday, it was finally time. The winning row 11, 23, 44, 61 and 62, plus the separate Powerball number 17, was found on two tickets, sold in the states of Missouri and Texas.

The prize amount is up to 1.8 billion dollars. But how large it becomes depends on how you choose to withdraw it. The high amount, equivalent to almost 17 billion kronor, becomes that if you choose annual partial payments over 30 years.

However, the vast majority of winners choose to get everything immediately, and then the weekend's prize amount lands at "only" just over 826 million dollars.

This jackpot is the second largest in the history of the USA.
