Two oil tankers make U-turn in Strait of Hormuz after US-Iran peace talks end

The oil tankers Agios Fanourios I, bound for Iraq, and the Pakistani-flagged Shalamar, bound for the United Arab Emirates, chose to abort their attempt to pass through the strait.

It is unclear what the destination of Mombasa B is.

Normally, a fifth of the world's oil and gas shipments pass through the Strait of Hormuz. But Iran has effectively closed the strait to Western shipping since the US and Israel began bombing Iran on February 28.
