The police were alerted to the workplace accident at a paper mill in Piteå on Monday afternoon.
Initially, two men were taken to hospital by ambulance. One man is seriously injured and has been transferred to another hospital, Region Norrbotten writes on its website.
The other man suffered minor injuries and has been discharged from hospital.
