The police received several calls about shots just before 03, the night until Wednesday.
When patrols arrived at the scene, two men were found shot in a parked car. They are not life-threateningly injured but I know that at least one of them has been taken to hospital by ambulance, says Nadya Norton, press spokesperson at the Stockholm police.
The police have been able to talk to the shot persons.
Pictures from the scene show a police operation at a gas station in the Viksjö area and police walking through a car. According to the police, however, the shooting occurred at a school nearby. There should be no connection between the shooting and the school.
"Very unpleasant"
–It's very unpleasant. It's getting so close. It's right by our children's school and preschool, says a dad who has children at the school.
Viksjö is located a few kilometers south of Kallhäll where two men were shot dead in a car on Monday. The fact that a double murder occurred just a few kilometers away just a few days ago worsens the feeling, according to the parent who wants to remain anonymous.
–It seems to be internal within the gangs. But of course, there is always a risk that civilians will be affected. So it's very unpleasant in that way.
The police cannot yet answer whether there is any connection between the murders and tonight's incident.
We have of course taken that incident into account, but it's too early to see any connection yet, says Nadya Norton.
Heard the shots
A witness who heard several shots tells Aftonbladet:
I was awake and lying in bed. Then I heard six shots in quick succession. Then I opened the window and heard voices, says the witness.
The area was cordoned off after the incident and a large police operation began in Viksjö. No one has been arrested. A preliminary investigation has been initiated regarding attempted murder and serious weapons offenses.
