It is the British Crown Prosecution Service that has announced that two men, both 24 and British citizens, are being charged.
One man is suspected of assisting a foreign intelligence service. The other is suspected of entering a prohibited place with the intention of harming Britain’s interests.
Several people were arrested on September 27 in a large police operation near one of Britain’s most important military air bases, which is also used by the United States.
All those arrested were released on bail the following day, but further arrests were subsequently made.
