The value of the smuggled cargo for drug users is approximately SEK 27 million, the Swedish Customs Service writes in a press release.
The sofa was in a van that was stopped at the Öresund Bridge on November 8 last year. A larger network is suspected of being behind the smuggling attempt.
"Sweden is currently under extremely high smuggling pressure. The criminal gangs that smuggle drugs are using increasingly advanced methods, and drug shipments have generally become larger," says investigator Kasia Gorzka in the press release.
