"The arrest of the 30-year-old instigator is important and he has had a clear impact on the situation in Stockholm," says Christer Chernström, investigation leader in the Stockholm South police district, in a police press release.
The man, in his 30s, is suspected of instigating serious weapons offences on two occasions in the Stockholm area and involving a minor in crime. He has connections to an international criminal network.
The man in his 20s was convicted of aggravated weapons offences in district court in May 2025.
The men were arrested in early July and are two of 165 people arrested abroad this year after Swedish wanted lists.
