"A short while ago, IDF surveillance detected two armed individuals moving in a suspicious manner a few hundred meters from Israeli territory in southern Lebanon," the Israeli military wrote on Telegram overnight Friday, according to AFP.
“After being identified and continuously monitored by the IDF, the gunmen were hit and eliminated in an airstrike,” the post continues.
Israel and the Iranian-backed Shiite militia Hezbollah have regularly exchanged fire in southern Lebanon in recent months.
