Two people have died in a traffic accident on the E4 in Haparanda, according to the police. The accident occurred at around 03:30 at night on Wednesday.
Four people were in the car that drove off the road and into a tree. Two of them are still being treated in hospital.
"The police's work to investigate how the accident happened continues. This will include, among other things, holding hearings and conducting a technical examination of the vehicle," the police write on their website.
The accident is being investigated as gross negligence leading to another's death, causing bodily harm, and gross reckless driving. No one has been suspected of a crime at present.
