Seattle police are still searching for a second person involved. Investigators believe the two may have shot each other, and that there is no longer any danger to the public. The incident occurred near the Seattle Center area, which includes the popular tourist attraction, the Space Needle.
An annual food festival, which according to its website attracts around 350,000 people over three days, was taking place at the site and panic broke out among visitors when the shots were heard.
According to CNN, several law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, are on site.
