The police were alerted at 19.45 on Thursday about a brawl in a staircase to an apartment building. At least one loud bang had also been heard.
When we arrived at the scene, two injured men were found. One of them was assessed to have a gunshot wound, says the police's press spokesperson Per Fahlström.
The men, who were awake and able to speak, were taken to hospital.
The police have cordoned off the area for a technical investigation. Doors in the house will also be knocked on in an attempt to find witnesses to the incident.
The incident, which Aftonbladet was the first to report on, is being investigated as an attempted murder. There is no information that anyone has been detained.
