Boston impressed in the second game of the round of 16 against Buffalo. After losing the first game narrowly, they came away with a clear victory on Wednesday night, largely thanks to Viktor Arvidsson.
Arvidsson opened the scoring with a counterattack to make it 1–0 just under five minutes into the second period. Before the end of the period, his teammates had added two more goals.
16 seconds into the final period of the game, Arvidsson and Pavel Zacha found themselves in a two-on-one against Buffalo's Rasmus Dahlin. Instead of passing, Arvidsson finished to make it 4–0.
Buffalo did get on the scoresheet late but was never really close to equalizing. The series between the teams is now 1–1.
