Boston impressed in the second game of the round of 16 against Buffalo. After a narrow loss in the first game, they recorded a clear victory on Wednesday night, largely thanks to Viktor Arvidsson.
The Swede opened his scoring spree with a counterattack, making it 1–0 just under five minutes into the second period. Before the end of the period, his teammates had scored two more goals.
16 seconds into the final period of the game, Arvidsson and Pavel Zacha got into a two-on-one situation against Buffalo's Rasmus Dahlin. Instead of passing, Arvidsson finished to make it 4–0.
Buffalo did score later but was never really close to equalizing. The series between the teams is now 1–1.
