The explosions occurred after authorities in Saudi Arabia issued a warning.
“A warning has been issued via a national platform to warn of a potential danger,” the Saudi Civil Defense said.
A spokesman for the Saudi-led alliance said the Iran-backed Houthi movement was behind the attacks.
"The Kingdom intercepted a ballistic missile fired by the Houthi movement towards Riyadh," the alliance's spokesperson wrote on X.
The alliance consists of a group of countries led by Saudi Arabia that are fighting the Iran-backed Yemeni Houthi movement.
