The accident was reported at 1 p.m. on Tuesday. It is not clear what type of workplace it was or how the accident occurred.
"We will not go into any details about the circumstances of the accident. It will be an investigation that will take a while. It is also normal for the Swedish Work Environment Authority to be involved in workplace accidents," says police spokesman Wayne Seretis.
A preliminary investigation has been initiated to determine whether any crime has been committed, but no person has been charged with a crime.
"The current crime classification is aggravated manslaughter in connection with a workplace accident," says Wayne Seretis.
Söderhamn Municipality's crisis support group has been activated due to the incident.
The men's relatives have been notified.
