The explosion occurred at lunchtime outside a hotel in Jorois in Northern Savo in eastern Finland, Finnish media report.
The police are keeping quiet about the two victims, and do not want to comment on exactly where they were found or why they were there. They have also not released the ages and genders of the dead, writes Hufvudstadsbladet .
The exact cause of the explosion, which occurred in a van parked in a hotel parking lot, is not yet clear. The hotel owner told Yle that he suspects it was a gas accident.
