The accident is said to have occurred after one of the cars tried to drive through an opening in the median to change direction and was hit from behind. The car was carrying a man and a woman in their 80s, both of whom died on the way to hospital.
In the other car, a man in his 30s was slightly injured. The case is being classified as gross negligence in traffic and causing death, but there is currently no suspect.
