The man was shot to death with multiple shots in the back – a murder that, according to the district court, had "the character of an execution".
Now, two people – one of whom belonged to the same criminal gang as the victim – are being convicted for their involvement in the murder, which took place in Sjöbo, Borås, last August.
The Borås district court sentences a man in his 20s to life imprisonment for murder and aggravated weapons offense, according to several media outlets.
The court writes in a press release that there are several aggravating circumstances, including that the murder "had the character of an execution and involved severe suffering for the victim, who lived for several minutes after being shot".
A co-defendant is simultaneously sentenced to five years' imprisonment for aggravated weapons offense, aggravated harboring of a criminal, and drug offense.
