The two activists, a man in his 40s and a woman in her 50s, are sentenced to pay 50 daily fines each, as well as damages of 76,500 kronor each to the airline Grafair.

In September 2023, 17 people were arrested at Bromma Airport in Stockholm after red paint was thrown at a private aircraft terminal, a building, an airplane and several cars.

The activists were initially suspected of the more serious crime of airport sabotage, but were later charged with vandalism and aiding and abetting vandalism.

The action received a lot of attention when state-owned Swedavia said it had been forced to divert an ambulance flight because of the action. However, a later review by the newspaper ETC showed this statement was not true.
