Two children were killed when a building collapsed due to a powerful earthquake, with a magnitude of 6.0, in eastern Afghanistan late on Sunday, according to local authorities.

At least 15 more people were injured.

The earthquake occurred 27 kilometers northeast of the city of Jalalabad, near the border with Pakistan.

Buildings are reported to have shaken both in Afghanistan's capital Kabul and Pakistan's capital Islamabad.
