Around 50 people were on the premises when the hand grenade was thrown in. The grenade did not detonate by pure chance and the risk of deadly violence was very high, according to the district court.
One of the boys is too young to be sentenced in the ordinary sense, but the court finds him guilty of attempted murder, serious public destruction and a violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods.
The second boy was 15 years old at the time of the crime and was sentenced to two years and two months in closed juvenile detention for instigating the same crime. The court believes that he organised and facilitated the operation.
