In Rålambshovsparken in central Stockholm, two people were arrested for setting off firecrackers, and according to Aftonbladet, a girl was taken to hospital after being hit by a rocket.
“Parents should call their children if they are in the park and tell them it's time to come home,” Mats Eriksson, a police spokesperson, told SVT overnight.
The entire police region north has noticed the less pleasant side of Walpurgis. Elis Brännström, RLC officer at the police, says there has been widespread drunkenness and in some places even violence.
“There has been trouble in Umeå, Piteå, Skellefteå, southern Lapland and outside Lycksele. It has been in several places,” says Elis Brännström.
It has also been chaotic in the mountains, as many ski resorts have seen their bars emptied, he says.
In Linköping, the police report a large number of intoxicated young people and also appealed to parents there to pick up their children.
“The level of intoxication is far too high and the law and order situation is too uncertain,” Linköping police wrote on Instagram.
During the evening and early night, Skåne police received several calls about fights and drunkenness, especially at the cold bathhouse in Sibbarp, where a celebration with families with children had been held earlier in the evening.
“Then a lot of young people came to the scene. We're talking about thousands. There was a high level of intoxication and a lot of chaos,” said Ulrika Johansson, police task force leader, to Sydsvenskan.
