The two men are now suspected of aggravated vandalism.
However, air traffic has not been affected.
The environmental group Restore Wetlands takes responsibility for the spraying and writes on its website that it has launched a three-week-long action wave aimed at disrupting air traffic. The actions are being taken in protest against peat extraction and against Swedish climate policy, according to the group.
The Police Authority has, in turn, launched a "special operation" against the group, according to Aftonbladet, and the Transport Administration has also increased its preparedness.
We are cooperating with the police and are more on our toes, says Katarina Wolffram from the Transport Administration to Aftonbladet.
