"We carried out an operation in the Stockholm area this morning, during which these two people were arrested," Säpo's press spokesman Jonathan Svensson told the newspaper.
Those who have been threatened are people protected by Säpo. Chief Prosecutor Per Lindqvist declined to say whether they are ministers or members of parliament, or exactly how they were threatened. The threats are reported to have been made in April.
The two were released after questioning but remain suspects.
