The condition of the two young people, who were taken to hospital by ambulance during the night, is unclear. Another person was later found dead in the house. The deceased has not been identified, but according to the police there are clear indications of who it is, and his relatives have been notified.
The fire service will remain for post-extinguishment work until 10 a.m. Then, when it has cooled down sufficiently, we will close off and begin a technical investigation of the scene, says Adam Isaksson Samara, press spokesman for the police.
It was at 1 a.m. on Sunday morning that the rescue services were alerted to a large fire in a house outside Svenljunga. Already during the night, Pontus Studahl, the duty officer at the rescue services, stated that the house had essentially burned to the ground.
