The right-wing extremist boy was only twelve years old when he initiated plans via a group on the Telegram app two years ago to, among other things, detonate a bomb in the Flemish regional parliament in Brussels, reports the television channel VRT.
There were also plans to attack a military air base in Arnhem, Netherlands, with the stated goal of forcing a “race war.”
The boy has now been sentenced by a court in Leeuwarden to three months' conditional juvenile detention and must also undergo treatment at a national support center against radicalization.
