"You get scared, where are we going? How can you even use such young people?" says Rasem Chebil, operational manager at the investigation section at Malmö police, to the newspaper.
The alarm was received just before 11 p.m. on Friday night and shortly thereafter a man was found shot in a car. He was taken to hospital and pronounced dead. Several people were in the car when it was shot.
The boy has been taken into care by social services.
"I don't know of any completed murder with such a young suspect," says Manne Gerell, associate professor of criminology, to the newspaper.
Senior prosecutor Caroline Carlquist, who is leading the preliminary investigation, does not want to comment, but writes in a press release that the crime categories are one murder and three attempted murders and that no one is in custody.
"An investigation is underway where a minor has been questioned about his involvement in the incident and has been provided with legal counsel," she says in the press release.
