Keyyo Petrushina, who led this year's edition of the entertainment giant Melodifestivalen together with Edvin Törnblom, also received the award as this year's female program leader.
I did not believe this at all. This award goes to all those who work hard in production, big thanks to all of you. And to Edvin for this journey, said a moved Keyyo.
This year's documentary program was awarded to Filip Hammars and Fredrik Wikingsson's previously richly award-winning "The Last Journey". Mother Tiina Hammar was present at Cirkus and took the opportunity to dedicate the award to father Lars Hammar, who followed the broadcast from home from the armchair, and all film workers they had in their home during filming.
But now that it's finished with this film, she concluded.
Big topic of conversation
"The Traitors" on TV4, which was nominated in three categories, had to settle for an award for this year's competition reality. It did not become any awards for the Wahlgren/Ingrosso clan this year either.
Interest in Netflix's international dating concept "Love is blind" seems to persist, however. The Swedish version was named this year's love reality for the second year in a row.
I usually get asked if I would like to participate in the program if I were single. Before, I always said no, now I say ABSOLUTELY, said program leader Jessica Almenäs in her acceptance speech.
Changing channel
The award in the heavy category of this year's TV drama also ended up with the streaming giant for the production "The Helicopter Heist", in competition with, among other things, "Stenbeck", "Knutby - Christ's Bride" and "Thin Blue Line".
It is a jury that selects the majority of the award winners at the Kristallen Gala, but in the categories of this year's male and female program leaders, as well as the audience's favorite program, it is the TV audience that, in collaboration with Aftonbladet, has voted for the winners.
For the sixth (!) year in a row, "Ghost Hunt" on Kanal 5 was named the audience's favorite program, and Joakim Lundell also received the award as the best male program leader. In his acceptance speech, he revealed that the program is now moving to TV4.
Upcoming broadcast
Long-running "Wanted" crime boss Hasse Aro was awarded the TV industry's honorary award. A total of 66 seasons of the crime magazine have been led by Aro, and on Thursday evening, it was also the season premiere for the live broadcast program.
This feels like the culmination of my career, but the show must go on, said Aro and left the stage to jump into a waiting taxi.
The host of this year's Kristallen Gala at Cirkus in Stockholm was comedian and program leader Messiah Hallberg.
