SVT and TV4 share the broadcasting rights to the World Cup, with TV4 owning a larger share of the rights.
It is the largest World Cup ever with 48 participating nations and a total of 104 matches. TV4 will broadcast most of the group stage, 49 of the 72 matches, and also Sweden's round of 32 match, if the Swedish national team reaches it.
SVT will broadcast Sweden's opening match against Tunisia on June 15 at 1:00 a.m.; TV4 will broadcast the match against the Netherlands on Midsummer's Day on June 20 at 7:00 p.m.; and SVT will broadcast the final group stage match against Japan on June 26 at 1:00 a.m.
TV4 will broadcast the premiere, Mexico–South Africa, on June 11 at 9:00 p.m., and the final on July 19 at 9:00 p.m.
The World Cup will be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico (June 11–July 19).
