When it was time for the World Cup opening ceremony at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, many viewers expected to see the grand party. But when it was time for Shakira to perform the World Cup song with Burna Boy, there was studio chatter instead.
TV4's sports director Johan Cederqvist comments on the incident for Aftonbladet:
There's a lot going on in our broadcast, a lot of content that was going to go in there, and it was a bit unclear to us which artists would perform when. That meant that not everything got included, he says.
