Equestrian audiences will continue to be able to follow stars like Henrik von Eckermann and Peder Fredricson on SVT. The major show jumping championships - the European Championships in 2027 and 2029 and the World Championships in 2030 - as well as the World Cup finals, will be shared between TV4 and SVT.
But for regular World Cup competitions, TV4 will be the broadcaster from now on, starting the second weekend in October with the World Cup opener in Oslo.
"Equestrian sports engage a large and passionate audience in Sweden and we are very pleased to be able to offer so much world-class equestrian sport," says TV4 sports director Johan Cederqvist in a press release.
The dressage and eventing championships will also be broadcast exclusively on TV4.
