Kiefer Sutherland, the TV star from series such as "24" and "Designated Survivor", was released on $50,000 bail but will appear in court on February 2 to defend himself against allegations that he assaulted and threatened the taxi driver.
The actor was arrested shortly after midnight Monday near Hollywood in Los Angeles, after police were called to the scene, TMZ reports. Sutherland has not commented on the incident. The taxi driver did not need to go to the hospital for his injuries.
