Linda Hammar, who became famous through the TV4 programme "I en annan del av Köping", died on Monday after a long illness.
In a post, Filip Hammar says that his sister was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago.
"Linda was a world champion at eliciting redeeming laughter, even when the situation was marked by darkness," he writes.
He also writes that he was by her side when she took her last breath and describes the grief after his sister's death as bottomless.
Filip Hammar also highlights the appreciation Linda Hammar received from television viewers and describes her as a person who always remained herself - "irresistible, loving and unexpected".
