The current agreement expires at midnight. If the parties had not reached an agreement, Viaplay's content - such as TV3, TV6, the sports channels and the streaming service - would have been at risk of being turned off for Telia's 1.2 million customers.
"Our partnership with Viaplay is developing in step with our customers' needs and this is reflected in the new agreement," said Oscar Karlsson, Head of Consumer Business at Telia, in a press release.
The last time the companies argued over the agreements, in 2022, the conflict was prolonged and customers were left in the dark for two and a half months before an agreement was reached.
