Despite an upcoming battle against France for the World Cup bronze medal, the loss to Argentina still seems to occupy some of Thomas Tuchel's attention.
The coach has been accused of "parking the bus" when leading 1-0 and has come under heavy criticism for defensive substitutions during the match. Even US President Donald Trump has had opinions on Tuchel's tactics.
"I made a decision, I made several decisions, and I trusted my instinct, my intuition, my experience and my competitive instinct. I made the decisions to help the team and achieve a result," he said during a press conference ahead of Saturday's bronze medal match.
We didn't achieve the result, so of course I take responsibility for these decisions. But decisions are made under pressure, decisions are made in the middle of the game.
Tuchel believes that England, who are fourth in the FIFA rankings, still have some way to go to catch up with the top three nations - Argentina, Spain and France.
We will overcome this, we will benefit from it, we will react and it starts tomorrow, he says, referring to the bronze medal match.
