A high school in central Stockholm has issued a tuberculosis alert, reports Aftonbladet.

In a letter to students and parents, the school's principal writes that Stockholm Infection Control is working on infection tracing - after a person connected to the school fell ill with tuberculosis.

The principal further writes in the letter that Aftonbladet has seen that the school will remain open despite this because the risk of spread at the school is small "as long-term and close contact is required to risk being infected."

The school group that runs the high school confirms to the newspaper that infection tracing is underway, but does not want to answer whether it is a student, an employee or someone with relatives at the school who has fallen ill.
