"It will take a long time before we can respond to customer demand," CC Wei says.
This applies even if TSMC completes the planned new production facilities in the US in the coming years.
Wei confirms the forecast the company gave two weeks ago, which points to a 30 percent sales increase this year.
TSMC, a world-leading player in the semiconductor industry that has quadrupled its market capitalization in three years, is a subcontractor to global giants such as Nvidia and AMD.
