US President Donald Trump banned all new wind power projects on his first day in office. Now he's getting slapped by a federal court.

“Arbitrary and capricious and contrary to the law,” said Judge Patti Saris in federal court in Massachusetts, CNBC reports.

She completely condemns Trump's ban on wind power, both on land and at sea.

17 states sued the Trump administration in May earlier this year.

White House spokesman Taylor Rogers said in a statement that “offshore wind projects received unfair, preferential treatment while the rest of the energy industry was hampered by burdensome regulations.”
