It will take two to three years to build the “Trump Arch” in the US capital, according to a report from the National Park Service (NPS).
To complete it in that time will require a huge effort. Construction workers will have to work two 10-hour shifts - a total of 20 hours a day - year-round, the NPS said. Tower cranes, forklifts, skid steer loaders, drilling rigs and concrete pumps are required for the project.
President Donald Trump wants to build his arch on a small area of land below Arlington National Cemetery, in front of the bridge that leads across the Potomac River to the National Mall park where the Lincoln Memorial stands.
Preliminary investigations and testing of the site began last month.
